We are having some serious fun learning about the Letter Ll.
On Monday, we worked with some ten frames. One version has the students fill in the ten frames to match the number. On the other side, which you can’t see, the student counts the ten frame that is filled in and write the correct number. We also did some number sequencing to fill in the missing number on the lead sheet with the correct ladybug. We also fed the steaks to the hungry lions to match the initial sound. Last, we sorted some Ll and not Ll sounds.
I have a freebie to share with you guys! Here is one of my ABC readers, this one is the Letter Ll book, called We Like Ll. It focuses on the sight words we and like and contains pictures that begin with the letter Ll.
This reader is just one in my HUGE ABC Reader pack. There are TWO leveled books for each letter, and many of the vowels have long and short vowel versions (not Oo and Aa).

I enjoy having a sight word and phonics reader ready to go EACH week without worrying or preparing. A teaching buddy of mine inspired them because as a first-year teacher, she needed easy readers and her time was sparse! But honestly, this pack has been a blessing for me as well.

These activities look great! I purchased the ABC readers to use with my RTii groups. Do you copy a book in color for each child to use or in black and white? Also, do you have areading series that you follow or use the common core? Thanks so much for the wonderful activties and ideas!

I don't have a line art (black and white) copy for each book. I have several hundred dollars worth of graphics invested in these and not all of them have line art available for them. I didn't want to make some colored and some not… but I print them all in black and white for my kids and they work GREAT and my students still color them. We don't have a reading series, but we use the letter order from Orton Gillingham. We do use Common Core.
