About Me

I am a Kindergarten teacher of ten years who
LOVES LOVES LOVES her job.
I enjoy using graphics and making games.
I think kindergarten is all about natural learning
by playing, creating, and having fun!
I know there are a TON of great teachers out there who can help me share kindergarten.
I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!

I am a learner. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in early childhood education as well as a specialist degree in Instructional Technology. My husband jokes that he still believes I will get that doctorate! I know I learn more teaching and in the blogging world that I ever learned in school.

I am a wife. I married an awesome man when 16 years ago. We had nothing when we got married and we have both worked hard and supported each other. I am confident God picked a mate for me way better than I could have ever picked for myself.

I am also a mommy! It was my dream to have a baby! After a two year struggle with lots of downs and a final up… we were blessed with a baby girl! That was 10 years ago and I thank God everyday day for her.  I learn so much about teaching through her! She is my best student, of course!

When our daughter was 3 she told us “God is going to give me a sister when I am 4.” She told us this for months and months. And sure enough, when she turned 4, we were blessed with our second daughter. I was shocked that God and my doctor were able to get me pregnant again… but I am so happy to know that He delivered His promise.

We tell everyone that we had our oldest daughter to fill our hearts and we know that God gave us the baby to fill our first daughter’s heart.
They are truly BEST FRIENDS.
They adore each other.
I am also a presenter for local, state, and national conferences
and in services training for schools.

This week seemed to be the longest and slowest all This week seemed to be the longest and slowest all at the same time. In science, we dove into the water cycle. On Friday, we got to try some simple (covid friendly) science experiments. We melted colors ice cubes to show states of matter changes. Then we did small cups for sink float. We predicted if each item would sick or float, then tested out. We can choose f2f or virtual this week, so I only had 12 in the room with me and 8 at home.
