Let’s Talk About The Perfect Nest
This fictional book is about Jack the Cat who wants to build the perfect nest. The perfect nest will attract the perfect chicken who will lay a perfect egg that will make the perfect omelet. So Jack the Cat made a little nest and a chicken does come and lays an egg. But, so does a duck and a goose. Now the bird’s nest is home to three eggs and one flustered cat. Now, Jack has to find a way to move the little birds to a new nest so he can get those eggs. This story has a sweet final twist and is filled with amazing vocabulary words to help guide student learning.
One unique attribute is the different ways each animal speaks. One is French and says “sacré bleu” while the other is Spanish. The third is Southern and says “Great Balls of Fire.”
