A classic start of the school year is Kinder Friendly All About Me Ideas. We love to focus on learning about our students and allow them to learn about us. What a great start to building relationships in the classroom! Let me share with you some of our Kinder Friendly All About Me Ideas.
All About Me Reader
First, we use this fun “all about me” reader to have the students learn about themselves as well as for peers to learn about each other. Students can practice writing their names and the letters in their names. They can also work on more topics like eye color, hair color, and even their favorite color.
Then, what a fun way to talk about themselves and review concepts you are teaching like address and phone number. And yes, even color sight words!

All About Me Rainbow
This year, I really needed to add some fun elements to my All About Me week. Nothing speaks “Kindergarten” like art!
First, I made a puffy cloud for our names. Next, I made simple prompts for my students to trace. Why trace? This time of year, we are working on speaking in complete sentences and handwriting in general. Your students could come up with their own sentences if they are ready. Filling out these sentences were done in small groups and it took 2 days.
Next, we glued the strips down behind our name clouds. You can see how CUTE they look! I printed each prompt on a different piece of Astro bright copy paper like this pack here.
Finally, one important tip is to glue them on the opposite side that you write on. Check out this green strip. It was glued wrong, so we flipped it around allowing us to see what we wrote.
Here is another student’s rainbow! You can see we practice numbers, colors, and a few other fun topics I thought my little learners would love to share.
I love this rainbow and can’t wait to do it with my kiddos!
