One thing I tried to do with this pack is to provide several writing activities for each word wall,
so you can differentiate or modify the assignment according to your student’s needs
And you can use the same word wall for several days in a row.
I think this helps students to learn new vocabulary terms and it can create better, more confident writers.

I use these word walls and writing pages to start my students off the right way as writers and
quickly build them up to writing paragraphs that MAKE SENSE.
In the fall, many students will use the word wall to complete the sentences and fill-ins,
but they can not write independently yet.
Then we work in small groups to write out the three sentences using the sheet AND
adding a picture that matches.
Slowly, I take away support and they soar with their sentences.

A great tip another blogger shared the idea of placing all the word walls inside a binder.
You leave the printable templates behind the word wall (in a page protector)therefore you can quickly turn the page
to the topic you are currently on
and you have an instant new activity!

Looks goo! ๐
Thank you!
Thank you! Looks wonderful!
Thank you!
How do you start using these in the beginning of the year? Just having them write the words in the boxes?
yes… then i have them read through the sentences as three. we work towards rewriting this into three sentences, then adding adjectives and pronouns as the year goes on.
These pages look great. Even though I teach first grade, I can see how my kids can benefit by these pages going step by step and building vocabulary. It seems that they write so much better when they have the vocabulary to use. Thanks so much for your hard work. I hope I can buy your fall pack before school starts.
