I think most of my readers know I love iPads and iPods in the classroom.
I am constantly trying new ways to make the management of them so easy.
Well, in my attempt to “get” this Daily 5 stuff, I am running into problems with technology.
I do not have a “good” listening station. I am trying to figure out how to make listening to reading work for my classroom and my students.
(Do you feel my pain or is this just me?)
We have tape players, CD players, iPads, and iPods.
So… I have been waiting on my newest plan… and now I am prepared to act on it. (Insert evil laugh.)

Essentially, I created posters for each type of device with step-by-step directions (with pictures!) of what my students need to do in each area.
I also added a poster with symbols for play, stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind.
I put in posters with blank steps so you can even fill in your own directions as desired.
I hope this can be a great resource for your own classroom as well.
Omg! I love these posters!! What a great idea

Oh, I feel your pain! That's been my challenge with Daily 5 too! I'm trying to cobble together things to use until I can get some good technology funded. Right now I have an EReader, a cheap MP3 player, a CD player and the computer! My poor TA is constantly troubleshooting a technology problem. And when she has a small group too, they just have to fend for themselves! But I love how much experience my kids are getting with great books! These posters will be a great help.
Awesome Mary!! This is definitely my weakness in Daily 5. I only have 1 iPad, 3 student computers and a CD player, but the technology problems cut into conference time and the ability to build stamina! These posters will help with training the kiddos. Thanks!!
Thank you very much
