There are at least two ways to use these activities.
Place the pieces inside color coded pieces inside the pocket chart dice.
Use 6 of the noun pieces in yellow color die, 6 of the adjectives in blue die, and 6 verbs in the green die. There is a colorful and black and white copy.

Students roll the dice and use what they roll to drive their writing.
1. There are multiple writing prompts to choose from with various size writing lines.
2. If your students are not ready to write using these prompts, use these to help drive verbal sentences.
3. Use the coordinating black and white printables, copied onto colored copy paper. I would recommend color coordinating these copies to the same color as the dice. Each page makes two sets, so cut them along the dark line. Students choose one of each color. Students would take one picture of each color. Students can glue down these pieces to one of their various writing prompts. Then your students use their pieces to generate their sentences. There are prompts for one, two, and three sentences for differentiation.

Not all combinations will make a sentence. If a student needs to roll again or find a different word to use, they may need to. BUT you can also use this as an opportunity to teach and use real sentences and silly sentences.

Please note, all students may not know or be able to use all these words. This is one reason you have 12 choices for nouns, 10 choices for verbs, and 10 choices for adjectives. Feel free to discuss words they don’t know or remove them. by
