Does that count?
Here are some activities we worked on last week from my Nocturnal Animals pack.
And I know we all need a few activities to help us out on the Halloween homestretch.
We sorted the Nocturnal Animals
and Diurnal Animals on our pocket chart.
Once we sorted these animals,
we talked about what MAKES nocturnal animals great at staying awake at night.
Then we played a game…
One student collected just the nocturnal animal cards and held them.
Another student wore the headband...
{You can also use a sentence strip with a paperclip…}
So… here I am with the headband on and my eyes closed.
They place a card in the headband.
But I don’t know what it is.
The class knows… but I do not.
So, I have to ask the class YES OR NO questions
to figure out what nocturnal animal I have.
HOW MUCH FUN WAS THIS??
No WORDS…
and we might STILL be playing it.
Completing this sort activity was so easy after we played this game.
This is a syllable sorting activity we completed.
There is also a printable version {that is included in this pack}
we used in Daily 5 to review these activities.
Another activity we we did was identify the nocturnal and diurnal animals in the pictures…
looking for the sun or the moon in each picture.
Sooo…
I hope this helps you make the next few days meaningful and FUN!
I know my class
