Take a Moment to Feel Grateful

March 13, 2012 by Mary Amoson Leave a Comment

Take a Moment to Feel Grateful
Ever think know your pastor/ mother/ friend knows exactly what you need to hear?! Then, this person tells it to you just before you need to hear it.

Take a Moment to Feel Grateful

I was at church yesterday and the message was being GRATEFUL instead of griping. I love my job… and I need to show how grateful I am for it. Sometimes being grateful means saying how grateful I am.

Additionally, it is important to express this gratitude so you can appreciate it later on when you are feeling less grateful. I am grateful for all those cute, sweet, kind faces that grow so much in a year. And I love how my students go from learning letters to reading EVERYTHING.

Some Things I Love

More so, I love how those tricky teen get them every time to knowing numbers to 100. It it so funny that I know it is coming and the students are always shocked when I tell them their mistake before they can even make them. Yeah guys, I have been doing this for a while and I already know what is going to confuse you.

I love how these little learners sound out and write words. Every time it makes me laugh and wonder why English has to be so complicated. You have to agree that we don’t even need all these letters! C and K… no thanks. Sorry X, we can do without you as well.

It take talent to read what Kindergarteners  write sometimes. But that is exactly what makes it so awesome. Plus, those illustration are the best. They always bring a smile to my face.

Most Importantly

And I love how God puts each and every child in my room for a reason. Sometimes it may be for them and sometimes it may be for me. I don’t have to know the reason but I believe that each student is placed in my classroom by God for a specific purpose.

Lastly, I am grateful for each person who reads this post. I hope you have a great day tomorrow doing what you do best- teach! What are you grateful for at your job?
