Yellow- Math- We made sets of numbers for our treasure chests using ten frame jewels. I made this activity to cover number 0-20. Each student had to complete at least 4 treasure chests. I loved that my kids had to use two different ten frames to make 20 instead of one card with the two ten frames on it. My kids had to try a little harder to build the numbers.
This is part of my Letter Tt Activities Pack, which is part of this bundle.
Red- Reading- We used the treasure chest mats to sort. One set had students sorting capital and lowercase letters and the other sets had students sorting -at and -ot family words.

Purple- We put the turkey cards in ABC order. Since we do this often, my kids are really getting good at it. I made these turkey cards my first year teaching and I LOVE them. {I can’t part with them because I remember cutting out each letter with an exacto knife and gluing it down with rubber cement glue.} I did make an updated version here in the Letter Tt Activities Pack, which is part of this bundle.
Blue- Unit- We made these scarecrows using The Mailbox idea and direction sheets. I am strongly encouraging independence at this stage in K and I wanted my kids to follow the picture directions on their own to create their scarecrow. Many of my students did AWESOME. A few really, really, really wanted me to walk them through creating this art step by step!
