April 5, 2020 by Mary Amoson Leave a Comment

Do you know about Boom Cards? My school just completed week three of digital learning. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I spend a good two weeks trying to get everything rolling and setting my students up for success. I have discovered a huge time saver, headache reliever, and engagement enhancer in the classroom which you will want to know all about! Just wait for to you see all the platforms these cards can work on!!!

Digital Tool Hunt

Since we started digital learning, I was on the search for a game-like learning platform where I could engage my learners in educational games, track who did what and what level they achieved, and let them have fun. Sincerely, wanting students to WANT to play learning games.

First, I checked out many platforms and sites. Honestly, I found tons of free games online, but just not with the exact and specific skills my learners were working on and needed to practice with.

Then, I discovered Boom Learning! I can’t wait to show you how much fun this learning platform is for teachers to use and students to learn with! Plus, teachers can use it for free. Let me talk you through it all.

Students can ALWAYS play for free

One key piece of information related to Boom Learning Cards, teachers can always use Boom Cards to play for free with Fast Play. You can click here to see Fast Play. This means even without paying a penny your students can play a version of the games! Amazing.

Boom Learning Data Collection

One of the many perks to the premium account, remember this is the one you can get for free right now, you can get data collection! You can see the reports feature above showing you how great the report feature is.

Imagine being able to use this data to drive the instruction in your classroom (even digitally) to know what your students know and what gaps exist so you can fill them in.

You can use Boom Learning Cards on Other Platforms

Finally, you need to know how versatile these cards can be. This blew me away. At first, I assumed that Boom Learning Cards worked only on Boom’s platform. But I was so happy to learn that this isn’t the case. Boom cards can be assigned on many different learning platforms using the FastPin option. You can read all about it here and watch some helpful info here.
