I have to share with you this Bb and Dd Reversal Tip & Freebie.
Don’t you love it when you see a teaching tip that not only makes sense…
Don’t you love it when you see a teaching tip that not only makes sense…
but you can name 3 students who can benefit from it TODAY?!
Me too!
I recently saw a Facebook video from a mommy
showing this cool Bb and Dd reversal tip to others that helped her own son.
A fellow teacher saw it, tagged me, and
asked me to make a poster to help her students remember this tip after she teaches it.
I was thrilled to help.
My own daughter, S, is six and still reverses b,d,p,q and even 9’s in there.
I knew this tip could benefit her as well.
My daughter, who JUST got her Princess Leia Halloween Costume TODAY,
as I show her this tip.
She literally missed the spelling word “dish” today as “bish!”
{YES I know this is normal and developmentally appropriate.
I am not concerned, just aware.}
Watch this tip in action
You can see that she gets it.
We will have to practice it everyday for a while to see if it works.
If you have young students struggling with reversing letters, I have been told to simply help them correct it and move on. NOT a huge deal.Using these little teaching tips and trick can just help little brains learn
how to see and write the different letters easier.

Very cute and creative tip for b & d letter reversal – thanks for sharing!
Thanks! We need all of the tricks we can find for that b/d confusion! For some of mine, a different font would be clearer– need "tall sticks" for b and d.
I love the poster for helping with b and d reversal! I’m gonna use it tomorrow!! Thank you for sharing and giving me an opportunity to win ESGI for a year! I love ESGI and will be visiting your page more often.
Thanks for the tip! I can’t wait to try it!
Great idea!! Thanks for the poster! Currently using my free trial with ESGI. Praying our school will purchase it for our Kinder teachers.
Cute
Thanks for the poster! Very helpful for my kindergartners.
Thanks for sharing! This is such a clever idea and I love the freebie! Printing it out for my classroom TODAY!
I haven’t ever seen the idea of c into d, what a great way to remember this! I have tried several other ways, but still have one student in particular that really struggles with this. Thank you for giving me another option to try!
What a great idea!! Thanks for sharing!
Handwriting Without Tears uses this tip. It’s a great program. Thanks for the poster.
