Back to School Book Freebie: Today is the start of new Scholastic Book Orders! You can’t order books during the month of July. Each year, I buy a cheap book from Scholastic to give to my students for Meet the Teacher.

I put each book on each student’s desk along with a little note asking them to read the book as “homework” for the night before school starts. I wasn’t able to find a $1 book in June, but here is what I did find in the SeeSaw September Catalog!
So.. grab the cheapo book and download this freebie to get a cute note to send home and you are all set for Meet the Teacher. If you have enough points, grab some copies of The Kissing Hand as well… it is a great price.
Here are some books I recommend using for the night before school starts. (And yes, the freebie has notes to go home for ALL these books!)
