Next, students open their bags and sort to create a picture graph. You can see one pack is shown above. This pack did not have any purple hearts but three yellow hearts.

They can also use this graphing sheet to lay down their candies and even color in their graphs to show what candies they had in their bags. Then, students can compare numbers or even complete some simple addition problems. You can even level the activity based on your students’ abilities and needs.

Finally, some of us are not able to use candy or any food in our classrooms. In this case, I have a few printables that allow your students to complete some fun math activities without their own candy. Students use the hearts represented in the candy bowl or baggie to be graphed or used for math fun.
