There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell: This time of year is too crazy to try to put together amazing lesson plans by yourself. Let’s face it… this month is crazy! Recess is going to be inside, specials are going to be canceled, and you are most likely going to be sick and need a sub at some point.
I am here to help with this There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell Literacy and Math Unit.
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell
If you need some of these books, check out Scholastic. If you need it ASAP, Amazon can be your hero here. Here are the sequencing cards in the pack.
Sequencing the Story There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell
I use them with the sequencing sheet. This sheet works well with the sequencing card or book support.
It also is a great mix of ordinal numbers and sequencing of the story.
Reading Comprehension Game
We also LOVE LOVE LOVE the reading comprehension game. (Just a suggestion, keep data on these games with your students. It is a great way to see who is Struggling with reading comprehension. I take a class list and check beside a student’s name for the correct answer and an X if the answer is wrong.)
We review the book with these fun questions and play a game at the same time.
Listening and Following Directions
We also completed this listening and following directions activity.
This is a big deal because we know our kinders have a very hard time listening to and following directions.
Take a deep breath guys… We got this!
