Landforms AHEAD

January 13, 2013 by Mary Amoson 18 Comments

This week we are working on landforms… and I love it almost as much as my kids do!
Seriously, it is so much fun to learn about and through!
Here are some if the things we DID this week while learning about landforms.
On Day 1 we wrote about landforms we liked.
I came up with motions for each landforms, which is always a HUGE hit!

Here is some images from Day 2.

I hope I have time to post a few more FUN activities we did this week.
I have a Pinterest Board dedicated to Landforms this topic, so click {here}to see the landform ideas.
And… here is my unit’s activities

Leave me some comments and I will give away 2 of these plans on Monday.
(If you already purchased them, I will give you a pick of any of unit I sell for free.)
Winner are Number 2 {Rachel} and Number 14 {Crystal!} Your email is being sent now!!!

oh my goodness….stumbled upon your landforms! he, he.
I am always interested in any packets that address the social studies objectives because it is very difficult finding quality units for the kindergarten/first grade child…i have to teach SS daily as a stand-alone discipline {:-(}(in the past i could thematically teach s and ss)so the information has to stand up to the rigor of daily lessons. Thanks for taking the time to give some ideas for Social Studies.
i appreciate the opportunity to have a chance at the prize!

Love, love, love your blog and ideas!!! I just got our PI (Personal Inquiry) unit on landforms today to fill out. We rotate classes for our PI time which is 45 minutes a day and I teach all our little k kids. PI is the kids favorite time of the day as is the teachers. I would love to add to what I already teach to my landforms unit!!!!
