Labels!!!

July 7, 2012 By Mary Amoson 7 Comments

Here are my Holiday Learning Labels… this is a HUGE set.
I use these in my students’ agendas instead of handwriting each and every thing. Download, print, and stick!

Trust me, you will thank me later.

I also made some ELA and Math Common Core Labels. You can use these as stickers to send home or in portfolios.

Here is the Math Labels.

I also placed the labels on TN.

Does your school use agendas for each student? How to you communicate with parents if you use something else?

We use Agendas. I staple my newsletter inside them and there is room at the bottom for writing notes.

I use a binder. But I'm loving your idea of using labels for things. I just might have to borrow this idea. I send home a behavior chart everyday and it gets old writing what rules they broke. A label with the rules on it would be nice. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for sharing.

We have homework journals that we created. Inside each journal is our school calendar that includes special dates. There is an All About Me Page that the parent's help their child fill out during the first week of school. Then the remainder of the pages is their homework that reinforces what we are learning. At the bottom of each homework section is a Teacher Communication area. In this area, we write any comments regarding what their child has mastered and what they are still learning. There is also a list of our 31 sight words as well. Last year was our first year using these journals (they are spiral bound from our district's copy center). They really seemed to work well.

We do send home a newsletter once a week as well.

I love your stickers though. I was thinking that they might work well in our journals instead of all that handwriting. I could even add a page that says "What I Have Mastered" and the kiddos can keep track of their own sticker collection. What a great incentive for them.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Ann

I love your labels!! We put labels on our supply list every year so parents can help keep us stocked up. My county uses agendas and I'm always making & printing reminders to stick into them. I send home a weekly newsletter but the agenda reminders seem to work the best. Thanks for making these!
