Gingerbread Man Learning Activities

First, check out this amazing real and nonsense word sorting activity. You print out the different mats AND color coded vowel pieces. Your little learners place the vowels down in the middle of the CVC words and practice sounding out words. Then, they can work on telling you if the words are read or nonsense words. What a perfect way to practice CVC word building.

Building CVC Gingerbread Man Words

Are you working on building CVC words like my little learners are? My students are doing great tapping out words and writing them, but we are working on accuracy. We specifically struggle with the ending sound. These differentiated CVC gingerbread man cookies are amazing to work on CVC. You get three levels of learning, so this is the level my learners will be working on.

Handwriting Work

Another learning activity we can work on this week is handwriting and writing sentences specifically. Check out these writing activities specially for writing sentences. The top version is a printable and the bottom examples are great to be laminated and write with a dry erase marker.

Count the Cookies

This learning activity is such a great center activity. Learners count the cookies in the pan and match it to the number. Your learners can work on numbers 1-20.

You can also use this activity shown above to have you little learners color in the cookies to make the number given. Simple and fun!

Graphing

Finally, check out this great leveled gingerbread printable to work on graphing. One version is just graphing and the other version allows the learner to compare numbers using more or less.
