My aid and I got to chatting and we decided that we NEEDED an Elf for our classroom as well…
And here comes Jack Frost.
Whoever finds him gets to take a picture of him, so the photos of our beloved elfkins are not great, but boy are the kids enjoying this!
Our friend has decorated our door and left us messages… ironically the Amoson’s house elf doesn’t do anything special at all… she just kinds moves around. {Hint people- why start something you have to keep up with and one up it all the time?! I can’t do it!}
Overall, Jack Frost {JF for short} is awesome. But, some friends were teasing others about touching him. A few girls got very upset because they don’t want to loose their elf.
JF got serious this am and left a few red warning notes to those kiddos who said they wanted to touch him. Man… my friends at school didn’t like that one bit. One kid who has been rocky lately had a steller day ALL day. {Was the red warning the reason???}
But JF is fair. He left several green nice notes to those who did an AMAZING job yesterday too. Those kiddos were ecstatic to get a little extra note cheering them on. One even thanked JF for noticing. {tear}
Now, if you have a few kids who need an extra set of Elf Eyes on them this year… Can u suggest trying the elf?
And go ahead and grab the movie to watch. It is short and sweet… making it a Kinder hit!
I was so excited to see this new Elf Tradition to start with S and E… an Elf on the Shelf BIRTHDAY set! I ordered it on Amazon so I didn’t have to do the shopping cart hid.
I think it is gonna be a BIG hit in our house. Do you think it is worth trying to use the birthday elf at school too???
If you LOVE these printables and your classroom elf is interested in warning and rewarding… you might want to check out Mel D’s FREEBIE Elf File.
{I really want to be a student in Mel’s room! They always look like they are having a BLAST!}
Looks like you are having fun. I have to admit the elf kind of creeps me out so I have a magic tree with a hidden elf. Merry Christmas!
FOR SURE the elf is creepy! The things we do for the kids we love… our own and our school kids…
